It was just a matter of time. She was an infamous drug and alcohol abuser. She even looked the part.

A drug overdose? Her? Noooooo....

As far as I can tell her official cause of death hasn’t been released.

But come on. Her drug and alcohol abuse had gotten so bad, according to the Los Angeles Times, that she had to cancel her summer European tour.

During her last performance, in Belgrade, she was booed off the stage after arriving late and then stumbling through her songs.

Ironically, Winehouse won a 2008 Grammy (Album of the Year) for her album “Rehab”. But she couldn’t attend the event itself because she had been denied a US visa. See, she had entered drug rehab just before the awards. She was named “Best New Artist” anyway.

A third album was long rumored but never materialized, and much of Winehouse’s post-”Back to Black” career was mired in sudden stops and starts and troubles with abuse and the law. She was due to be a headliner at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival but was forced to cancel after being charged with assault for allegedly attacking a fan week before the festival.

So yeah. An erratic drug-using, alcohol-abusing junkie was found dead today. I know you’re all shocked.
