Cantor to Conservatives: “Stop Whining” About More Debt

This guy needs to go.

At a closed-door meeting Tuesday morning, House Republicans leaders urged members to rally behind a recently-unveiled GOP deficit plan, which they plan to vote on later this week. According to a source in the room, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) told members he was “150 percent” behind House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) and urged them to “stop whining” and support the plan, despite acknowledging that “the debt limit vote sucks.”

So he admits the plan, which gives Obama another $1 trillion in spending and only cuts $26 billion this year, sucks. But he wants House Republicans to not “whine” about it and instead back the plan. Which sucks.

How tempting!

Here’s another idea: How about Republicans pressure Democrats to accept the Cut, Cap, Balance plan which, according to CNN, has the support of two-thirds of the American people? You know, instead of Republicans caving to Democrats again.
