Why yes, yes he is. As Gloria Borger of CNN notices, no one in Washington is talking about tax hikes anymore except Barack Obama, who seems to think tax hikes are the solution to everything and anything.

House Republicans submitted a plan. John Boehner submitted a plan. And now Harry Reid has submitted a plan. None of them are under the illusion that tax hikes are going to happen, so none are planning to hike taxes.

Except, of course, Barack Obama. He called for tax hikes on investors and small business last night, apparently shocking even his left-wing allies. Except, as economists have noted, those tax increases wouldn’t solve the fiscal problem. Taxing everyone wouldn’t even solve the problem. That’s how big the problem has become.

Barack Obama, however, apparently remains clueless.
