Jack Welch, who for 20 years served as chairman of chief executive officer of General Electric, has taken to Twitter to explain his view on the debt ceiling talks. Mind the spelling and grammar; he only has 140 characters.
First, on fears that the world will implode:
world will not come to end on Aug. 2…..Crisis overdone and in any event will be resolved by congress in time
Indeed, top financial services firm UBS says the Treasury actually has enough money until August 10th, and others say we have plenty of money to service the debt we have — which would prevent default.
Next, on Democratic plans, or lack thereof:
Have yet to see in print ANY Democratic proposed cuts in entitlements..or even a budget proposal to debate
Yep. Which is why the White House Press Corps spent today’s briefing hammering the White House. While Harry Reid has now proposed a plan, it doesn’t touch entitlements. Obama continues to stonewall, refusing to put anything in writing.
