How crappy of a call was this? Allahpundit notes sports commentators are wondering if the umpire just called it safe so he could go home and go to bed.

The umpire, Jerry Meals, needs to face retribution from the league. There’s no way in hell they can let this bad of a call, one that even a casual viewer would have gotten right, go by without reprimand of some sort.
