Apparently the whip count is still short. Twenty-five Republicans are “no” or leaning “no”. Boehner can only afford to lose twenty-four and still have the bill pass. So, for now, it’s delayed. The House has moved on to other business.

Update: The House is now considering a resolution to name a post office in Peoria, Illinois.

Update X2: Ed Henry of Fox News confirms Boehner lacks the votes for passage right now. Boehner and his cronies still hope to bring the bill up for a vote tonight.
