Twenty-one Pakistani militants were reportedly killed by American missile strikes overnight, just a few days after Taliban fighters killed 22 Navy SEALs during an operation in Afghanistan.

The militants were reportedly from the Haqqani terrorist network. Local media report village elders began responding and digging out bodies (and possible survivors), but drones overhead threatened more strikes and so the elders were forced to retreat.
