One in Five Blacks Now Disapprove of Obama

Yeah, I know. With black unemployment as high as it is, and the nation itself in such crappy shape, his approval amongst blacks should be lower than 81%.

But it’s not going to happen. Or at least, it’s not going to fall much lower. He’s the first black president. And skin color is going to triumph over everything else, at least for most.

So we’ll have to settle for one in five blacks disapproving. Or as Dan Cleary says, one in five blacks are now racist.

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama’s job approval tied its all-time low among black Americans last week, according to the Gallup poll.

When asked by Gallup in the week of Aug. 8-14 whether they approved of the way Obama was handling his job as president, a record-low 81 percent of blacks surveyed said that they did. Back in the week of Feb. 28-March 6, Obama’s approval among blacks also dropped to as low as 81 percent.

After that, Obama’s approval among black Americans had rebounded to as high as 91 percent in Gallup polling conducted the week of May 9-15 of this year.

Obama’s historic-high approval amongst blacks came in multiple weeks of 2009, when he hit 96%. So even with everything as bad as it is, he’s only 15% off his all-time high. At least in that specific demographic.

On a wider level, he enjoys just 39-40% approval. 52% now disapprove. That drop has come largely from Independents. Democrats have also begun moving away from him, though, and Republicans are already gone.
