Obama Issues Orders to Team: Attack Rick Perry

by Stephan Tawney on August 25, 2011

They’re afraid. And they should be.

Team Obama has issued orders to its Texas division: Attack Rick Perry hard and often.

Hector Nieto, the campaign’s Texas director, has told his state-level team to make Perry know “he won’t be able to hide”.

Nieto is also asking disgruntled Texans to submit their own ideas on how to attack the governor. Here’s the handy contact form.

This is bad…for Team Obama. They’re so desperate for material that they’re relying on disgruntled Texans to bitch about something?

Wow. Wow.

Not only is Rick Perry a veteran and three-term governor, but he has a jobs-creation record unlike any other. Barack Obama’s failed policies look just that — failed — when placed up against Perry’s record of success.

And that’s what Team Obama is acknowledging with this plan: That he can’t attack Perry head-on. He has to rely on surrogates and gossip to make up stories and bitch about something or other. Sad and pathetic. Alright, just pathetic.
