Wikileaks Now Publishing Agent and Source Names Unredacted

by Stephan Tawney on August 30, 2011

Supposedly it’s an “accident”. Totally not the result of attention dying down and their egos not being stroked for a while.

One group just happened to post the unedited file, and then another person just happened to post the password to read that unprotected file.

And no — no — Julian Assange surely had nothing to do with this. We all know how humble the former hacker and repeated sexual assailant is.

The release of the file could potentially endanger the informants mentioned in the documents, many of whom live in countries whose governments are hostile to the US. The confidential diplomatic cables were redacted before publication to protect sources, but the file on the Internet contains the original, unedited documents.

Now Wikileaks is willing to have innocent people killed for attention. The secret agent-wannabes who think they’re impressive because one asshole gave them files are willing to have killed innocent people…for attention.

Are we done celebrating these assholes now, lefties? Or is having innocent people killed still an acceptable price to push a global anti-war, anti-American agenda? Still just breaking eggs to make an omelet?

The Obama Administration must now move against Wikileaks and its members. The group has promised a “poison pill” — a major leaked document — if anyone dares try to stop them. How does it get any worse than publishing the names of agents and informants? Take them down. And quickly.

More: The New York Times, which aided and abetted Wikileaks since the beginning, describes the organization as “antisecrecy”. That’s bullshit. The group is notoriously secret about itself and its own operations. It’s only anti-secret when being anti-secret can stir shit and cause problems for the United States. Otherwise it’s just fine with secrets.
