Republicans have won both special elections up for grabs this evening.

The Associated Press has called the New York 9th congressional district for Republican candidate Bob Turner already.

Now the wire service says Republican candidate Mark Amodei will represent Nevada’s 2nd district in the House.

The wins are a stunning rebuke of the Obama Administration, which played a prominent role in both races. Voters have spoken. And they’re angry with the White House.
