A 26-year-old man named Rezwan Ferdaus has been arrested by federal agents over a plot to attack the U.S. Capitol and Pentagon. The plot allegedly involved remote control aircraft and C-4 explosives.

Ferdaus has also been charged with attempting to provide material support to Al Qaeda.

The suspect had been working on the plot with individuals he believed to be Al Qaeda operatives. They were in fact undercover federal agents.

According to reports, Ferdaus provided explosive devices to the agents, offering them for use against American soldiers overseas.

When agents posing as terrorists informed him that his devices had been used to kill 3 American soldiers in Iraq he replied, “That was exactly what I wanted.”
