He almost got away with it, too, if it weren’t for those pesky federal agents posing as fellow jihadists.
Actually, the plan was pretty ingenious. The remote-controlled planes wouldn’t have shown up on radar. In fact, they probably would have been largely undetectable — until the explosion, of course. It’s a good thing we got him when we did.
Supposedly this guy was in love with Al Qaeda but only became a really hardcore jihadist last year. He had the capabilities (a degree in physics), a plan, the motivation, and the resources. It was just a matter of time.
