She’s just like us! I’m sure this is totally what she does all of the time and it’s not some stunt to show the First Family shopping like normal people during a recession. After all, you can totally buy $40,000 bracelets at Target, right? Maybe they’re in the dairy aisle and I just missed them.

Wow! Some random citizen must have spotted our First Lady shopping quietly at Target — as she certainly always does! — and snapped this pic, right?

Oh, no wait. It was taken by an Associated Press photographer who just happened to be on hand. And she has a Secret Service detail which in a crowded store with countless tight spaces would have been on her like bees on honey.

To quote CBS News: “The first lady’s office confirmed that the pictures showed Mrs. Obama, though it did not immediately respond when asked if it tipped off Dharapak.” Huh.

Well, sorry folks. It seems this really was just a PR stunt intending to show the multi-millionaire First Family with its $40,000 bracelets and budget-busting shopping trips “scaling down” by shopping with the plebes at Target. Oh well.
