The author of a false Washington Post story alleging Marco Rubio misled voters about his parents’ arrival in the United States is a Castro apologist with a history of anti-Catholic bias.
Manuel Roig-Franzia has written multiple pieces either praising the Cuban communist system or covering for its awfulness, as you can see through his record on Newsbusters. There’s plenty there to keep you busy for a while.
Roig-Franzia also has a known anti-Catholic bias and once got into a fistfight with a retired Marine and style editor after Roig-Franzia called him a “cocks*cker”. According to an article from back in September, Roig-Franzia also has a history of writing glowing articles about liberal activists and secular critics of the church.
So the author of a false hit piece of Marco Rubio — a fierce critic of communism and the Castro regime — is a left-wing apologist for Castro with a history of writing pieces praising liberals and anti-Catholic voices. And the Washington Post is employing him because…why? Oh, right, because it’s Pravda on the Potomac.
