Men’s Wearhouse Store in Oakland Still Gets Vandalized

by Stephan Tawney on November 3, 2011

What do you know: Appeasement works as well today as it did when Chamberlain appeased Hitler in 1938.

You’ll recall in the last post how Men’s Wearhouse decided to stand with the violent Marxist protesters in the Occupy Oakland movement. They even closed their store for the day out of solidarity with the movement’s call for a “general strike”.

Some wondered if the seemingly suicidal business decision was made to avoid damage being inflicted on one of their biggest stores. Ed Morrissey warned that appeasement doesn’t work and, “Even if you’re the last to go up against the wall come the revolution, that’s still where you’ll end up.”

So hey, how’s that Oakland Men’s Wearhouse store doing today, post-riot?

The wall is still where they ended up.
