The United States government now officially owes more than $15 trillion to creditors thanks to Washington’s reckless spending policies. Furthermore, we owe more than $116 trillion — not a typo — in unfunded liabilities from Social Security, Medicare, and Medicare Part D alone.
Does anyone think giving Washington more tax money will solve the government’s addiction to spending? You don’t end a crack addict’s addiction by giving him more crack. And we’re not going to solve Washington’ s spending addiction by giving them more money to spend.
