Good News: Cain Worried About Taliban’s Influence…in Libya

by Stephan Tawney on November 18, 2011

The man really doesn’t have a clue, does he?

“Do I agree with siding with the opposition? Do I agree with saying that Qadhafi should go? Do I agree that they now have a country where you’ve got Taliban and Al Qaeda that’s going to be part of the government?” Cain asked reporters, rhetorically. “Do I agree with not knowing the government was going to — which part was he asking me about? I was trying to get him to be specific and he wouldn’t be specific.”

Um…no. The Taliban is an Afghanistan-based terrorist group trying to drive the infidels — and the idea of democratic government — from the country. Its membership consists mostly of Pashtun militants. There’s no indication the group has interests in Libya, and there’s no reason they would have interests there.
