Note: I’m republishing this now because it’s the first day of the last month before the Nanny State ban takes effect.
One month from now the time-honored 100 watt incandescent light bulb will be extinguished.
Thanks to a Nanny State law passed by a Democratic-controlled Congress and protected by President Barack Obama, the bulbs will be illegal just about 30 days for now.
Your options after that date? Mercury vapor-containing CFLs, which need hazmat crews for disposal if you drop one, or very expensive LED bulbs that will dig deep into the wallets of most Americans.
Actually, wait, there’s a third option: You can stock-up on incandescent bulbs now so you’ll have enough to keep you going until a Republican White House and Congress can repeal this bullcrap law.
With that in mind, here’s a link to bulbs on Amazon.
They’re a pretty good price, and — bonus — by purchasing through that link you’ll be helping to fund this blog at no additional cost to you. So you’ll stock up on bulbs and keep the right-wing attack machine going. Two birds, meet one stone.
