Because, you see, Mitt Romney has run for office three times since 1994. Unlike notorious political outsider Barack Obama, who has run for office six times since 1996:
- Illinois State Senate, 1996
- Illinois State Senate, 1998
- House of Representatives, 2000
- Illinois State Senate, 2002
- United States Senate, 2004
- President, 2008
Counting this upcoming election, Obama will have run for office seven times in 15 years. Mitt Romney? Just four times in 17 years.
Obama has run for office more times in a shorter span of time. Plus, he’s been in Washington for the past 8 years. But Democrats want voters to believe he’s the political outsider in a Romney-Obama matchup. Okay then.
