Unreal: Obama Administration Classifies Fort Hood Massacre as “Workplace Violence”

by Stephan Tawney on December 7, 2011

You know, the Fort Hood massacre that involved an Islamic extremist, inspired by overseas jihadists, murdering people because he didn’t like our involvement in the Middle East.

To most people that’s terrorism. To the politically correct Obama Administration, it’s “workplace violence“. Un-freaking-real.

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation’s Armed Forces at home.

During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

So if a Starbucks employee motivated by anti-capitalist sentiment decides to blow up a store full of innocent people then it’s “workplace violence”?

No, it’d be terrorism. Violence perpetrated against innocent people and motivated by political or religious belief.

You want to argue it’s not terrorism because he targeted uniformed military personnel? Explain away the fact he shot and killed two civilians, too.

He’s a terrorist. He committed an act of terrorism. To describe it as “workplace violence” is to cover-up for Islamic terrorism and his admitted motivation. It’s to do a disservice to those who died. The administration should be ashamed.
