Mitt Romney held a conference call today in which he and his surrogates attacked Newt Gingrich, framing him as neither conservative enough nor prepared to be president.
That first charge is particularly ironic, considering Romney’s campaign only took questions from liberal news outlets. Among those allowed to get their questions in? Far-left publications Mother Jones and Talking Points Memo.
The outlets allowed to ask questions:
- CBS News
- Time
- The Daily Beast
- Washington Post
- Talking Points Memo
- Mother Jones
Townhall? No. National Review? No. The Daily Caller? No. The Weekly Standard? No. Any conservative publication at all? No. He enlisted the help of far-left publications to attack a fellow Republican.
