Romney Surrogate Who Voted for Medicare Part D Slams Santorum for Voting for Medicare Part D

Former Senator Jim Talent, a surrogate for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, took to slamming Romney’s opponent, Rick Santorum, today for having voted for Medicare Part D.

The slam came on a Romney conference call dedicated to painting Santorum as as liberal. Ironic coming from Romney, a guy who laid the foundation for ObamaCare and who has held just about every position on just about every issue.

But there’s a bigger irony here: Talent, who hit Santorum for voting for Medicare Part D, voted for Medicare Part D in the Senate. In fact, his failed reelection effort in 2006 involved pushing that point as a positive:
