Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) says he supports the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. So he’ll vote to construct it? Er…no.
Sen Mark Warner (D-VA) on Senate floor says supports Keystone XL Pipeline but will oppose GOP amendment pushing its construction
The GOP amendment already has bipartisan backing from Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA).
So this is no longer a GOP amendment Warner is opposing. He’s going to vote against a bipartisan job creation and energy independence bill.
Warner wants to have his cake and eat it, too. He wants to both appease the left-wing environmentalist lobby and keep the pressure from unemployed Americans off his back.
But he can’t have it both ways. Call Senator Warner and tell him to vote for American job creation and energy independence.
