Chris Kyle, the former US Navy SEAL who racked-up the most confirmed sniper kills in American history, was shot and killed in Texas today.

NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reports Kyle, author of “American Sniper”, was one of two men murdered at a shooting range. The suspect is now reportedly in custody.

Kyle was known by insurgents as the “Devil of Ramadi” for his remarkable work over four tours of duty in Iraq.
